The farm, when first established in 1715 by
French settlers was then called La Rhone.
The name was later changed to Diggers Home by a Gold Miner from Kimberly,
believing there was gold in the mountain.
The new Manor House was built by the Lindes in 1999.

Set in lush vineyards, the original Homestead, surrounded by a lovely garden, with great views, provides pleasant accommodations for guests who would like to stay in the countryside in the heart of the Tulbagh Wine Route.
